I'm Abby — founder of Wild Dog Athletics, 14x ultramarathoner, and the coach people come to when they're done waiting for the right time and ready to find out what they're actually capable of. I started ultrarunning seven years ago because I loved the idea of seeing how far I could go. What I didn’t expect was how much it would challenge me in ways that go beyond just running more miles - like learning how to keep going when things got hard or didn't go as planned. It’s brought a lot of meaning and adventure into my life, and that’s why I care so much about helping other runners discover what it could bring to theirs too.

These days I work primarily with marathon and ultra runners: ambitious, driven people who are managing full lives alongside goals they really care about. Like finishing a marathon without walking the last six miles. Or feeling strong and fit enough to finally sign up for their first 50K. Or following through on that dream race in the moutnains that keeps getting pushed to "someday."
I started Wild Dog Athletics in 2020 with one conviction: that the right coaching — built around your schedule, your history, and your actual goals — changes what feels possible.
The runners I work with are managing a lot. A demanding job. A family. A social life they're not willing to give up entirely. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, a running goal they've been carrying around for a while.
With 1:1 coaching, your plan is built around your real schedule from the start and adjusted every week based on how training is actually going. Busy week at a conference? We move your runs around so you're not scrambling to keep up with training. Daycare closed for the week? We take advantage of the days you have childcare, and don't stress if you have to miss a run or two. Feeling drained after a day of back-to-back meetings? We'll swap out intervals for an easy run to make sure you're not overdoing it.
You also get direct text access to me. Not a support inbox. Me, personally. So when something doesn't feel right, or feels better than expected, you're not left guessing what to do.

Your plan is built around your actual schedule: work, family, travel, and everything else. Every week it adjusts based on how training is going, so consistency stays intact even when life doesn't cooperate.
Your running and strength work are built as one program, not layered on separately. The goal is legs that feel strong in the final miles, not just the first three.

Text me directly. Whether you're struggling to get out the door, celebrating a long run that went better than expected, or second-guessing everything two weeks out from race day — you'll always hear from a coach who knows your training and can give you confidence when you need it most.
Whether it's your first marathon, your first ultra, or a race in the mountains that keeps coming back to you — we start with the big, deep-down goal. The one you're a little afraid to say out loud. That's what we build toward.
