I'm Abby Heffern, and my passion for athletics runs deep. From my background in show jumping, cross country, and track and field to my current adventures in trail ultramarathons, I've explored a wide range of sports. Throughout this journey, I've raced local road races, traveled to the mountain for ultras, competed in Olympic Weightlifting and powerlifting, and even taken the plunge into competitive masters swimming and triathlon.
My diverse athletic background fuels my coaching philosophy at Wild Dog Athletics. It's more than just training programs – it's about helping you achieve your full potential, no matter your experience level or goals.
Inspired by decades of competitive experience, I founded Wild Dog Athletics in 2020. I believe we all have the ability to push beyond perceived limits and break down self-imposed barriers. With the right support, encouragement, and guidance, anyone can transform their life through movement and sport.
At Wild Dog Athletics, we believe a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't cut it when it comes to athletic development. Everyone has unique goals, strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. That's why we offer individualized remote coaching and programming, ensuring you receive a training plan specifically designed to help you achieve your best.
Remote coaching eliminates geographical barriers and schedule conflicts. Train on your schedule, at home, at the gym, or anywhere in the world with our convenient online platform.
Generic workouts often lack focus and effectiveness. We design programs tailored to your sport or fitness goals, ensuring every exercise contributes to your progress.
You're not alone! Coach Abby provides ongoing communication, feedback, and adjustments to your program, keeping you motivated and on track.
A cookie-cutter program can't account for your individual needs and limitations. Our personalized approach maximizes your potential by considering your specific goals, injury history, and access to equipment.
